CHAUSABLE
Coarse base coat plaster based on natural hydraulic lime (NHL) for levelling uneven and historic substrates
CHAUSABLE® by Saint-Astier is a traditional lime base coat plaster made from natural hydraulic lime (NHL), mineral aggregates and specific additives. The mortar is specially designed for the renovation and restoration of historic buildings and acts as an ideal base layer in traditional lime plaster systems. Thanks to its balanced combination of flexibility, strength and workability, CHAUSABLE ensures low-stress curing and excellent adhesion to old mineral substrates.
CHAUSABLE® is used as a coarse base coat plaster to level and prepare historic masonry before applying a lime finishing plaster. The mortar is suitable for interior and exterior applications on traditional substrates such as old brickwork, natural stone and mixed historic masonry. It can be applied manually or by machine and is particularly suitable for restoration projects and ecological building methods.
CHAUSABLE complies with EN 998-1 and is classified as plaster mortar type GP – class CS III.
