Sint-Jorispoort Antwerp

On the corner of Mechelseplein and Sint-Jorispoort in Antwerp, a neoclassical row of townhouses is undergoing extensive restoration. The works are carried out on behalf of main contractor RENOTEC, with the specialized execution by THORSO, a recognized restoration company.

For the façade finishing, durable lime-based products from Saint-Astier were used. All façades have been coated with EcoMortar Finish, a breathable and sustainable finishing layer based on NHL 3.5. The window surrounds were crafted with the traditional restoration mortar RPC, ideally suited for creating and repairing cornices, mouldings and rosettes. These elements were first shaped in moulds in the workshop, and then installed on site in separate sections.
